Hello and welcome to my blog. This is a place where I will periodically post about things that are on my mind. Most of the time, these posts will be looking back at games I’ve worked on and stories and anecdotes from behind the scenes that come with them. I’ll also blog about current affairs and events in the video games industry. And when there’s any new projects to announce, I’ll do that here too.
Building this website has been a fun project. It took me a while to figure out how best to go about it but I’m happy with the result so far. I should do a blog post about the process one day, so I’ll put it on the list of ideas for editorial content. My goal was to create an online space that’s more personal and bespoke than a LinkedIn profile. I also wanted something more persistent than a social media timeline that churns through posts at a rate of knots in the name of serving up the right type of engagement at the right time.
The content creation process is probably my favourite part in this process. Researching topics, finding assets, creating original content are all good fun, although writing can be a bit of a slog at first. It takes me a while to get going but it’s really fulfilling when everything comes together at the end and a post appears on the screen.
